Treatment for Social Anxiety Disorder at Boston University

We are offering a treatment program for social anxiety disorder that has been shown in previous research studies to be effective at decreasing symptoms of social anxiety.

The treatment involves 8 sessions of a 20-minute computerized attention retraining intervention (completed twice a week for 4 weeks here at BU).

In addition to the 8 sessions, there are 2 MRI scanning sessions: one before the training starts and one after it is finished. These sessions are each 2 hours and will take place at MIT.

This treatment program is completely free to eligible participants. In addition, you will be compensated for your participation.

If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact Ty Sawyer at asawyer@bu.edu.
